[They don't have to search much. Rei's not bothering to hide her feelings, her eyes attentive and alert but still tired. She is not a morning person, not when there's no meditation to do, and it's easier to let her emotions come bubbling up before the sun is too high in the sky.]

No nightmares that matter. [A weak smile, her fingers tightening loosely around Minako's.] Dreamed of you, though.

[That brightens Minako's mood instantly. She leans fully against Rei now, a teasing smile on her lips.]

Was it as good as reality?

[Rei laughs, a sound somewhere between a giggle and a wheeze. She would. She absolutely would.]

No. I couldn't hold your hand in a dream.

[She decides to concentrate on that for now, enjoying the feeling. It's safe and warm, and so much more.]

Oh, and what else couldn't you do in a dream, huh?

Well. This, of course.

[Rei takes a breath. Long, slow, steadying. Draws herself up. And then moves in, tilting her head to one side to give Minako a deep, passionate kiss. She puts the whole weight of her affection into it, letting it all out without a care in the world...]

[Usagi has a thing about timing, mostly in that it's bad timing. She was back from work and getting groceries since Rei would write the list and Usagi would buy it since she had to go through the market on the way home anyways.]

I'm hooome! [She announced in a sing song voice as she took off her shoes at the apartment door.] Rei-chan, Minako-chan so I was talking to one of our customers and they were telling me all about this great house [She looked up] near... the... [She blushed deep.]

I'M SO SO SO SO SORRY, I DIDN'T MEAN TO INTERRUPT! UH... I'LL- [That is Usagi promptly dropping all the grocery bags and heading RIGHT BACK OUTSIDE.]

JUST LET ME KNOW WHEN I SHOULD COME BACK! [She called through the door.]

[Minako is enjoying this far too much. She curls her arms around Rei, reveling in what they can finally share, when...]

Wah!

[Ever the jumpy one, she pulls back, throwing out her hands.]

Usagi, Usagi wait! It's not---it is---ahh---

[She buries her face in her hands.]

...so much for calmly telling her.

[Rei is too, so much so that she completely misses the signs of a certain someone approaching. It's too good, too sweet, and she's so glad to finally be able to be open about this with Minako. Only...

Bam.

The door opens. There's a loud voice, and screeching sounds coming from a pair of blondes now.

Cheeks burning Rei practically jumps back like she's been stung and glares at the door.]

...Usagi!

[A beat, and she wilts forward with a sigh.]

Seriously. I'd wanted to tell her over dinner or something...

[Another sigh.]

You can come in, Usagi.

NO NO IT'S OKAY! I'M SO SO SORRY GUYS! I'LL JUST...

[She looks down. Crud, she left so quick. She opened the door and made a couple of blind grabs for her shoes. Her voice a bit more clear.]

Really, just- you can finish and uh... just one sec I have to grab my shoes... but then I'll be out of your hair for a few hours, promise!

[Minako rises to begin the search for the shoes.]

No, we're not kicking you out---we wanted to talk to you first, didn't we? This is kind of a big thing to spring on you all at once.

[Rei rises too, shaking a little bit, hands clenched up uncomfortably over her face. Still not alright with showing weakness, she smooths her voice out.]

Yes, that's right. We're...we were trying to find the time to talk to you about it. I'm sorry, you don't have to leave though. I shouldn't have done that in the living room. It won't happen again. Forgive me.

[And that feeling of embarrassment swells, overwhelming her. She spares Minako a smile and a mental Later before she starts walking to her bedroom.]

[She bites her lip, looking worriedly between them, but Rei's answer assures her just a little.]

Soon.

[And then she's focused back on Usagi.]

C'mon, sit with me? I meant to tell you earlier...ah, it just got so chaotic back there. Are you mad?

[Usagi peeked her head in further, just a sideways floating head at the moment as she gazed at her best friends. She saw how uncomfortable Rei was, though and bit her lip as she opened the door a bit wider and came back inside, little by little, and finally shutting the door behind her.]

Rei-chan, it's okay, I- I just didn't... I mean, I hang off of Mamo-chan all the time. No- it- it was just a surprise! You shouldn't hold back on that kind of stuff! I certainly don't. [That probably wasn't helping but she didn't want either of her friends to feel like they had to hide something. Especially not from her. But then, Rei left and Usagi visibly pouted.]

Rei-chan wai- [The door shut and her hand lingered in the air before falling. She turned to Minako, coming over to her and sitting beside her. She frowned.]

I'm really really so so sorry about interrupting, Minako-chan, I swear I don't... I don't mind going! [She was glad to see her friends finally realized their attraction for one another was mutual, she just hadn't meant to promptly kill their mood. She wanted to make a joke about the two most beautiful women in Verens being off the market, but with how Rei reacted... she was clearly too upset for such a joke.]

So ah... um, what exactly did you want to tell me, besides uh... being together? [There was a very brief moment of panic they were going to move out together and she was going to be alone in the apartment again and she tried very very hard not to let such a thing show because she wanted to support them in this, especially since both Rei and Minako had trouble with love in their own ways. At the mention of her being mad her eyes widened and she grabbed Minako's hand.] No no! Of course I'm not mad! Why would I be mad! You both seriously deserve to be happy! I'm really so glad you two are together! [But she was worried that they were moving out or were going to ask her to move out.]

I'm not mad, not at all. I know you'll make each other so happy and feel so loved! Are... are you mad at me for... for ruining the moment? [Rei left... REI LEFT... Was she really that mad? Usagi wanted to bolt again, and she knew she could easily out run Minako if she put enough energy in it. Why did Rei leave?

Was Rei that mad at her? But she hadn't known... Should she knock from now on? Usagi tried very hard not to panic as she kept glancing at Rei's room, her hands tightening on Minako's.] Maybe I should go... until... I could just... get dinner at a friends! [Just how mad was Rei?]

No, you don't have to go!

[Minako clung tight to her hand, holding her down. That wasn't the message she meant to send at all.]

Rei just needs some time, okay? You'll see her soon and things will be fine.

As for us? Well. Yeah, that's what I wanted to tell you. That that...happened, but you're our princess and best friend and we're gonna be here with you like always, okay?

[She tried to smile, but that red was still on her cheeks.]

[Minako tightening her grip might have been the only thing keeping Usagi in the apartment. She bit her lip.] I... I didn't mean to... [She swallowed. But tried not to get more upset at Rei just up and leaving.

At the mention of them not moving, a heavy weight was lifted off and she smiled. She tightened her grip on Minako's hands and was quick to hug her.]

I really... you're my precious people, I support you both 10000%. [She could hear Ami in her head telling her that that wasn't an actual percentage but whatever. She tightened her hug around Minako.] You... you won't move out and leave, though right?

[Oh, Usagi. Minako held her tightly, tucking her head against Usagi's shoulder.]

No, of course not. No way are we leaving you alone...we're big girls, we can figure this out without shutting you out, hm?

[She hugged Minako and closed her eyes, smiling.]

Ah well, big girls with adult needs, I really don't mind heading out to give you guys privacy when you need it.

[She laughs and squeezes Usagi tighter.]

You're the best. But don't forget that we love you just as much, okay? We'll always be here for you.

And I'll be here for the both of you. [She took a deep breath, smiling. And then she remembered-]

OH! I almost forgot! The reason I even rushed home! A customer told me about this house in their neighborhood someone just moved out of!

Whoa, really? A whole house?

That's right! And after I talk to Rei-chan, we should figure out a day to check it out before someone else snatches it up!

Okay! I can get there after work...tomorrow? The next day? Rei can't hold out that long, right?

I'll talk to Rei, see what's wrong and then talk to her about the horse.
